Hey these are looking really good! but yeah it does seem like there are lots of nuances to learn when you're drawing heads at different angles... nothing to do but keep practicing (and studying references!) indeed

This month has sucked so far. not enough sleep can destroy you. I haven't had time or energy to practice that much, but I've been trying to stay active.
Here's a few of my volumes/shapes drawing practice freehand.

In terms of anatomy I have not made much, but I've been watching new material to help me understand how to draw heads/faces. I still do gesture drawings from time to time and some body simplifications with boxes and cylinders.

Fresh out of the oven, Behold Han-Tyumi_V1 !! I haven't designed the legs yet, but I'm thinking some kind of spidery robot legs...

Front angle is EASY...any other angle is the most hard thing so far. And the eyes are the only feature that I still don't 100% understand. stay tuned

It's very good actually! This one and the front angle one. Do you trace it first and then try to replicate it on a blank page or do you trace it after you've done your drawing to see how accurate it is?

Both! depending on what I'm trying to do. I trace it first when I'm trying to understand the head before attmpting to do it myself...or I give it a try before, and trace it after to see my mistakes more clear.

I really like how you decided to do shading along with your designer look with lineart.

And here it is! Almost a month after my first attempt, here is my little progress. Still not perfect or anything, but a win is a win.

I didn't wanna ink it yet, I'm still trying to figure how to ink faces in a good way, so in the meantime I did some basic shading.

Doing some Skull studies/ basic planes with the help and tips of HadesPsd on youtube.

Later on I'll do more in different angles and eventually do an actual drawing using the skills I learned. Here's the video in case anyone wants to check it out!

Wow, you've come a long ways in a month, nice job! Love the studies, keep up the good work and thank you for sharing that video, I'm gonna save it for when I get here in my journey. Keep up the great work!
