Hey everyone, I'm Jared. I've been interested in art for practically my whole life, but I have never really focused on getting better at art or drawing. In recent years my interest in getting better at art has grown, and so I got the first term of this course. Today I'll be watching some of the first term, and I'll post again when I've finished an assignment.

Finished some of the term one PS for digital production assignments. I will start on Nude figure drawing tomorrow. Made me realize that I need a lot more practice with pen control! I was also struggling a bit with the last part of assignment 2, never really found what I was doing wrong, so if you have any tips or suggestions please do leave them.

Some more practice with pen control. I made a big page of those dots and did a whole page within one layer, turned its visibility off, and did it again on a new layer. Really let me see how unsteady I was. Gonna start each practice session with a page or 2 of those so hopefully I can get better. Feel like I did pretty decent on pressure and opacity, but I can see a few mess ups here and there.

That's all for today, as always any help and feedback is appreciated!

Nice work! The last part of the beach scene is tough. I have heard Marc say a few times that its 3 changes and if you dont hit it, its best to start over and try again then try to correct from there. Great work! Keep it up!

@Lockenheim Thanks for the encouragement! Took a break yesterday because my wrist hurt, but I started on nude figure drawing today. I planned on doing the proportion assignment today as well, but the assignment to draw over nude figures took me about 5 hours. Here is some of what I did.

This is the same drawing as above, just without the reference visible

As always, any feedback or critique is appreciated! I'll hopefully post again tomorrow!

Nice work! The main advice I would give is on these cylinders try to draw the elipse for each curve and try to make each elipse the same. You will find that it will help you so much to see through the form and it will also increase the difficulty substantially. Keep it up!
