Here is my image adjustment assignment. I really struggled with the last one, but I think I finally got it to an acceptable place.

Heres my photo manipulation assignment. I'm not super happy with how it turned out, but I think I got what I needed to learn out of it.

Apples. Again, not great, but I believe I understand the core concept.

Good morning friends. Here is my warmup pen practice. Getting slightly better every day! Some of those lines are nearly pixel-perfect straight.

First time with my gesture practice. I would greatly appreciate feedback! I took it nice and slow. I think tomorrow I will try 1-minute poses so I'm a little less careful.

Here is my 12.11.23 pen practice/warmup. Today I plan to try 1 minute gestures instead of going slowly like I did yesterday. Fingers crossed that they dont look horrible. Im weirdly intimidated to try it.

Here is what ive been working on today. Go easy on me! My first time doing this, but I would love some feedback.

For the first time i would say those look great tho
Once you do those enough times and start of being more aware of vanishing lines and all of that perspective shenanigans, things start to click.
One thing i will say is to watch out for the line quality, the sooner you create a habit of make them "clean" the easier will be for you on the future. The basic gist of it is to use the entire arm, big/long strokes and a bunch of Ctrl + Z when you mess them up, Marc's has some tips on his youtube channel for this.

But hey, you're on the right track, great work overall!

I don't have much to say since I'm also pretty new (we're basically classmates)

For the gesture drawing that scares you, you can practice directly on your reference pictures as a warm up for the nude figure drawing assignment. It helped me at least !

Thank you for the tip! I really wish I had some kind of tablet stand like Marc does that allows me to use my whole arm better. Right now it just lays flat on my desk. Hopefully my line quality will improve with time. Its hard!
