Hello all. My name is Khaled (K_iDraw_) on IG. I got into digital drawing last year. I have been trying to practice and improve. Just decided that I want to get back to the fundamentals and start my journey with Art School. I have put some of my recent drawings here to have an idea of where I am right now in my Journey. I will start with the assignment and will start uploading as I do them.

I am learning alot. I never had any formal lessons and just always learned from copying a reference as much as possible. The Anatomy classes are amazing. Helping me really understand how the shapes work. I just finished part of the Term 2 head anatomy. Gotta do more and more.

I went a little further this week and finished the lesson from the anatomy of the head. Then tried to do a portrait study. Still lots of room to improve. I think Im gonna try to do a couple more studies and start working on the perspective lesson at the same time.

Will post more studies soon.

I had the time to do another portrait study this weekend.
I think it is time to change it up a bit and move to the perspective class. Will do more studies afterwards.

great practice so far but I would like to point out on the most recent head the lips are too small and the space between the lips and chin is too large as well as the ears seem to be too big but I don't know what ref you used so I could be wrong about the ear thing. The same spacing issue is also there with the distance between the nose and the mouth so maybe the nose is just too small.

for the one above your most recent one, the same distance issue between the mouth and chin, and the ears are too small in this one as well. The nose could also be extended down to make up for the changing space between the mouth and chin. I also feel like the eyes could be bigger as well. I would when you are finished with these studies next time you do them overlay your ref on top to check for what you can improve on next time, but overall everything else looks fine

Thank you very much for the feedback. I actually also noticed some of the same errors after I finished them. Thank you for giving the critique. It helps figure out what is going on. Sometimes it is hard to see when you have been working on it for a long time

I decided to move on to the perspective class in term 2. The shading wasn't the focus as I was just trying to get the perspective right. I did 2 exercises. I struggled a lot with this one as I just simply didn't know what to draw. I don't have much experience drawing environments and structures but I think it was a good practice.

Still alot to learn but I thought I can move to the clothed figure drawing lesson.
This example is not entirely a clothed figure drawing but it has elements of fold in the hood of the character. I thought it would be a good study for portrait and some clothing.

the forehead is the biggest issue here for me it should have a bigger curve as it goes back into the hood and I still feel like there is too much space in between the mouth and chin but Idk what your ref is so I can't exactly tell what is right or wrong. I also feel like the eyes should have a darker shadow since they have a harder time receiving light

the hood should imo still have a relatively rounder shape to it but I could be wrong,and the folds on the sleeve don't make too much sense but I could be wrong
it would help a lot more if you posted what ref you used for some of these alongside the finished product so it is easier to give critique, but everything else form what I can see looks good

I was spending alot of time watching the class videos for Anatomy and trying to learn it. Will be going back and forth in the lessons between lesson 1 to lesson 4 for a while until I get a bit more comfortable with them.
This is a new drawing I did after deciding to take a break from the Anatomy lessons and exercises. This one includes some fold practice.

I went back to focus a bit on gesture drawings again. I decided to do 5 min drawing to include a bit of construction in my drawings. I have started to practice more on anatomy and will post a couple of practice ones soon.

I am not at the same level as you, but I am working my head constructs currently. I took a look at this and it seems to check out for me!
