I started Art School officially in July of this year. I had a patchy start due to trying to train a daily habit of studying/drawing. Art isn't something that I do for a hobby like a lot of people here may do. Art is a skill I want to train since I have dreams that involve it. The last art class I had was when I had to take general education classes my freshman year in university. I haven't done much since so I am excited to learn again.
Digital art is also new to me so I have been having some struggle getting used to the drawing tablet I have. But I feel that I am getting more comfortable each day, though sometimes it's frustrating, but usually the frustration comes from Photoshop doing weird things for no reason. (I plan on switching to CSP later, but I bought a PS subscription and it's easier to follow along with the videos if I use PS).
I had actually forgot this forum existed until I watched one of Marc's YT videos and was reminded. I'm glad I was reminded since I want to be able to post my progress and maybe encourage other artists who are starting from very little experience.
Alongside this class I am also doing DrawABox classes. Trying to dig as deep as I can into the fundamentals. DrawABox is indeed challenging, but I highly recommend if you have never tried it.
Anyway, I'll post some pictures from the past weeks. I do work full time so I have missed some days. Once I start posting regularly I will probably post two days for each week. Currently I am on Term 1: Week 6.

I'm quite happy with how my cylinders have improved from when I first started. I'm still getting used to drawing digitally but I see that my consistency has paid off. I'm also happy with my simple skeleton poses as I feel they are pretty accurate when compared to the original image. Now that I have my first post done I will try to update my progress more often.
