@HANDRO @Frygidal Here's the base I drew. Maybe the legs aren't proportionate? I think I put the knees to high and based my arm length off of that. What do you think? Feel free to correct anything that looks off.

on your base it looks fine for the arms and legs, the torso seems small to me. I think the dress is what throws off the drawing. since its concealing so much underneath.

EDIT: Also since you character is stretching (based on her hands) I think your torso should pop out a bit more to really emphasize the stretching.

Now that you mention it, I feel like the right side of the shirt needs to be darker to indicate the side of the torso. I'll also try to bring it out more. I thought about that when I was working on it but I was in too deep

I think you should make a picture of yourself for the ref, remember the more information you get the better you become, the concept and painting skills are dope, especially this scarf looks yummy

I used references but I was lazy about it. I tried following along with the video lesson and fix the the anatomy after I made the silhouette but I didn't spend enough time on it. Looking back I should've drawn or traced over a figure first to use as a base and then created the silhouette. Maybe something like that might have been mentioned but I didn't catch it.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback! It'll be helpful when I go back and fix it.

To answer your question, I've been focusing on fundamentals for the past 4 years. I've been somewhat serious about art since 2010, but I didn't start studying to have a career until late 2016. I owe a lot to Istebrak and DrawABox/Uncomfortable for going over the bare basics in their courses and videos. I still have a sh*t ton to learn, but that's how long I've taken to get to this point!

I finally got around to finishing the muscles for my creature. Thankfully it was easier than trying to figure out the skeleton!

Aaand here's a WIP of my second character design. Probably laced with anatomy mistakes as well If you have any thoughts on the design or mistakes feel free to share. I'm trying to find a balance between warrior and goddess, but I'm not sure I'm really conveying that...

Side note, I tried submitting this for feedback but I got rejected. I did purchase this before May 2018, but on Cubebrush it shows I have the +feedback option. Anyone from way back when also have this problem? I was hoping to at least get monthly until I buy the extension.

Not sure about it, but I remember Marc saying that for 2018 feedback wasn't a "promised" part? And it was just something he did anyway up until a few months ago.

Just venting at this point, a warning if you're not interested.

We were sent an email saying that we'll have access to the full program "as is" after the split in 2020. He also commented on the product saying he doesn't skip people, "even if some have been attending the streams for 2 years," and if he does he'll just give new students priority. It doesn't seem fair to offer monthly feedback to students who signed up after May. If anything, cut off feedback for anyone who signed up before September 2020 since feedback wasn't official until then.
I physically couldn't do the assignments for half the time do to an injury. If there was something official I could've at least asked for a deferment or something. Even then I'm not asking for feedback at this point until I buy the extension, I just think it should be more fair. Especially for those who bought into it early to support the project and gave feedback along the way.

I read that even the monthly feedback isn't sure anymore and just something he is doing right now but doesn't know for how long. As I joined I thought the feedback would be weekly for at least 2 years (since the program is planned for finishing it within two years). This is why I was confused
But, wouldn't it be possible to ask for an exception due to your injury?

See, if it's an unofficial thing I think it should be open to everyone then until it isn't offered anymore. But anyway, I sent a Facebook message but I haven't gotten a response yet.
And for some reason the message feature here on Cubebrush isn't working for me. Does it work for you?

@What_the_dog_doin_tho Welp that's a bummer Thanks for the response.

At this point I'll probably just find somewhere else to get a professional's feedback. I think I'll be done with these assignments around October or at least by the end of the year. I was going to get the extension this week depending on the answer I got, but messaging isn't an option and it's sold out anyway. Depending on when it opens again there might be no point in getting it since I'll only need 4-5 months.
I'm going to stick around here to posts things and see everyone else's growth, but I give up spending anymore on this. The more I think about the more upset I get.

Thanks to anyone who read this, even if it was just two people , I'll be sure to keep it strictly about art now.

It a sucks that you can't access the feedback I'm pretty sure the messaging on cubebrush will be fixed tomorrow since its not the first time this has happened to me I hope you succeed in finding some professional feedback your feedback has been very useful to me if it wasn't for your (and everyone else's) feedback I would be stuck doing the same thing Good luck

Sorry to hear that @LesleyCarol, I'm in the same boat as you, I got it when it was originally released and was confused with the changes to the feedback. (not that I was posting too much for feedback anyways since I'm rather slow).

Anyways I think its a good idea too spend time here and the Discord server as well. there are definitely people here and there that provide good feedback when asked. As somebody who stayed away for a while, i find it helps me stay motivated talking to people doing the same thing. Good luck on your Journey, hopefully I see more of your stuff.
