Hey there! So I rarely do backrounds like this (I'm sure it shows) and I'd appreciate any feedback on it on what could be improved and what needs work. If possible I'd also like some feedback on the character anatomy and design in general.
Is this the interior of the sailboat? That's what it looked like to me for some reason.
i think the face is lit up a little too harshly for it to be form the ciggarette/cigar
I would change the composition a bit - maybe try using the rule of thirds to better position the important elements - the character faces sorry for the crude paint over, i tried to quickly illustrate my point
