I started the Medieval Character Design course by Foundation and I am learning so much. So much more than when I was actually in art school here in Austin. I literally spent so many hours of just hardcore research and curating my reference, not simply piling a lot of found images into a folder that will undoubtedly go unused and taking up space on my hard drive after this project is done. Anyway, I am on the character design phase of the course and I like it, but I feel like I can be more precise with my linework, more clear.

I took the 8 design into some Discord groups and had several people vote on their favorite based on the theme of desert chained witch. This is the result of that sourced voting. I need to narrow it down to three and I have some data on which three were the strongest designs among the votes. In both groups there was a desire to see numbers 2, 4, and 5 move on to a more developed state.

I am tinkering with my main HDD so I don't have a progress of that character design class. But what I do have is a spread of 10 studies at 5 minutes each I used to warm up for my day.

I was going for overall form and figure with the male anatomy. Trying to ground my landmarks decently while still capturing the essence of the pose or action.

I snagged some cool swatches from the Adobe color app. I have some I made with the phone app available in the Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) but I'm having some issues moving those created swatches out of the app on the device and into my cloud. Cause that was the point of the app right? To capture colors you come across in life in photographs and then send it to the cloud so you can access it on your other apps/devices.

Technology.
