I think your gestures are coming along alright
What i'd personally recommend is to first do a "stick figure gesture" and then once u get the pose down, add more muscle and mass on top of the stick figures - that way you will always get the gesture in at least:

Personally what i do is - i ask myself - do i feel comfortable enough with this to not need any more practice with it? will i get worse at this topic if i move on to the next?
if the answer is yes for comfortability and no - i wont get worse at this from not practicing this topic anymore - then i would move on.
But remember - you keep these videos forever. if for some reason you move on but then feel not quite ready u can always go back to term one for more practice
