Cool drawing!

In terms of balance, I like to check by drawing a vertical line in the middle of the gesture and imagine each side as weights on a scale. So far, there is a bit of tension that the figure might be tipping towards the right. (I like to reference Bridgeman)

I think the weight is shown quite well in the feet like when the toe's direction suddenly shift towards the plane of the floor and the skin is flat alongside it.

I suggest capturing the essence of the pose as priority over visual eye candy. However, if you do want an eye pleaser concept look into rhythm.

This is really nice study Snakker! I think its really cool that you're digging into more Art Theory and working to implement those concepts into your work! I appreciate the grittyness of the brush you used on this and the looser lines, it really complements the theme you were working from and adds a lot to the piece. Keep up the awesome work!

Notes to self
- It's not traditional, definitely going for that traditional but made in digital style. I don't want things to look too digital in my art, maybe a balance
- Interesting point on paper texture for the background as a hint to look more traditional XD
- I will have to be more careful with the fold rendering
- Got to watch out for tangents
- Yes, her hand is definitely in front of her head so if it looks like the dress is going from behind something is wrong
- will watch out for how the cloth follows the contour of her body and making it look more believable where it would not stick
- noted, shadows looking good
- @Kohkeeree yes that's exactly what I try to imagine with the weight at both sides, thanks for the tips on rhythm and Bridgman, I'll definitely have to check his work out at some point

The cloth and figure is pretty good. It looks as though the face behind the cloth is slightly slanted.

Love these pieces! I think you found a nice balance between a traditional and digital look for these. They're light, loose, and they work great. I appreciate how you decided to add detail to the face, really makes the focal point nice and ties the work together.
It's amazing what you've been able to capture with so few lines and brush strokes! Keep it up, you always do great work and I am loving the direction that you are pushing your work! Can't wait to see how you continue to develop this over time

Was going to write a long one but in the end I was just down and burned out due to life stuff. And haven't done much art X_X
