ooooo these look rly good!
esp that last one
Thanks @mitsuki-youko!
Yo finding little time these days but at least doing a couple of sketches while I can
I was wondering, how many hobbies do you all have? Art for me is definitely my "main" but I must say, I sometimes wonder if it's normal... I "dabble" in certain things sometimes and get really serious about em but kind of drop out of them for a while after. Currently I am reviewing some of those life choices and am in the process of narrowing it down so that I A-don't feel bad about not doing em, and B-so that I actually get better at any of them XD
cheers
Bruhhh i have too many hobbies and not enough time XD
For my project alone I have the following hobbies:
Writing Stories, Plotbuilding/Worldbuilding/Character Building (each complex and takes a lot of time if you want to do it well)
Drawing ofc
Animating - takes a LONG time but is worth it
Music Making
Sound Design (I lump this with music making usually but its not quite the same)
Creating Voice Acting/Singing with Synthesizer V (I also lump this with music making but its a bit more complicated.)
Cooking (I like to make fancy food for fun when I am in the mood - which is every once in a long while. I have a insta for it too called altered_recipes)
Coding - neglected hobby - its fun when it works, not so fun when you troubleshoot for hours and still dont know why it doesnt work lol. I did code my own website for my story/project tho: https://mitsukiyouko555.github.io/hackwebcomic/
Ethical Hacking - I've been interested ever since 2017 when I took an ethical hacking class in college and actually learned more on my own than i did in the classes lol but it simply takes too long to troubleshoot every thing - every time i do something i have to stop n troubleshoot TuT its great experience but my heart is currently with my story so this is my 2nd neglected hobby. If one day i finish my story and side story and animations that go with my story... wayyyy in the future - i might get into this in depth again.. OR i'd have to find some way to fit it into my schedule since i bought a really good ethical hacking course a few years ago and never finished it but its a really good course and i do wanna finish it but i also wanna work on my story - oh the struggle -halp XD
so yea lotsa hobbies not enough time
Woah those sketches look REALLY good
@brzechwajan583 Thanks!
@mitsuki-youko Dang, at least I'm not alone in that XD
Well, time to get back on track to get to term 3. Going to have to practice some more gestures and get back on to perspective stuff (the bane of my existence and probably the single most intimidating thing for me right now). Realized that all this time off art is starting to negatively affect my ability to "eye" proportions
Any critique is always welcome
cheers!
It's a little muddy
these studies look great
psst, dont worry, i didnt notice
Great studies ! I like how you shaded the portrait with the pencil brush. And the form looks very nice too.
Thanks guys!
here is a doodle and another study
I am similar I try new things and then the love fizzles out i think i only stick with art because there is a possibility it could be a job one day and its one of the only things i've ever known. I think as artists it's important to have some kind of physically hobby that doesn't involve staring at a screen haha e.g, i am trying snowbaording next week.
Also nice work on the studies!
Woah thatβs really cool, enjoy!
I like portrait studies. The eye proportions look good. The gesture drawings looks pretty good.
Dropping in here at this late date to say - I love seeing your progress over time and how much your various skills have improved. This is the coolest, most heartwarming thing I've seen all day. Kudos to you for sticking with it, even with a busy life and lots going on!
@gregorya Thanks!@rohvannyn Thanks for the kind remarks, I really appreciate it!
Will post more soon! Can't wait to start getting into term 3 stuff
Great doodles. Hehehe boat face! A bit late but you might just be focusing a bit too hard. Make sure to force yourself to step back and look at your work. It helped me!
Dabbling a bit into an alternative approach to construction based on Chris Legaspi, using reference but with artistic liberties
Hey there, just saw your comment, Thanks for the kind remarks!
When you say focusing too much do you mean like focusing too much on heads, details or?
Always appreciate the feedback!
Cheers
