GO TEAM FANTASY!

Hello!

I'm another first-timer here but this competition seemed like too much fun not to enter!
My guy's gonna be an evil warlock champion sumoning a terrifying monster from the pits of oblivion; but that's all to come later

Hope you guys all like it and obviously any feedback is hugely welcomed and much appreciated. Good luck to all!

                     -----------------------------

Update 16/02/17:
I have wrapped this up now but here is a shortcut to the final pieces. If you scroll down you'll also be able to see all of the progress I took. Thanks guys!

And here's the most updated concept:

To start up, I got a bit carried away but I've got a concept here of the main character with a vague idea of his accessories and colour palette.

So this is my fella, personally I think the colours ended up a bit too much like a druid than a warlock so any opinions would be fantastic  Hopefully next I'll start designing the summon and possible thumbnails!

Cool! nice staff, and I love the bandages and skeletal arms. Colour-wise, warlock's often seem more ostentatious than druids; maybe some vibrant purples in place of the black on the robes? Would get a strong contrast with the sickly green

One thing, I'm not sure how the anantomy around the neck and shoulders is working out. Its a bit tricky to tell under the robes, but it looks like something might be slight off.

Great work so far!

Thanks for the great advice! I'll definitely have a play with the purples and see what I can do!

Okay, so I realised I should probably upload these progressions so here goes. I've got a start on the creature design as well so any feedback on them would be fantastic as they're not set in stone yet! Apologies to the roughness of the first few character sketches but they were relatively drunken sketches from Christmas day

And these are the creature progressions

Thumbnails!
Sorry there's not many but it seems I should probably get a move on with this now! These are the two main ideas that have been rattling me for a while now. I know I definitely want the camera angle from below but the question is which position, front or side? I think I'll probably go with the first one; though maybe rotating the camera a bit more to the left.

Awesome! Coming together really well : )

Maybe just take another look at how the light is falling on the arms. His torso and head are lit pretty strong from directly ahead, while his right arm (our left) is lit from above.

Looking really dramatic though, great so far!
