Going to be creating an elegant character for team Lightning!
Concept:

Ref board:

Feeling kind of ambitious with creating a mount, but worst comes to worst it can be cut. For this project I'm going to focus a bit more on Substance Designer and Marvelous Designer and hopefully I won't have to sculpt as much.

Best of luck to everyone!

it is full of so many intricate story details, and i love it! especially the part about her cloud like dress cover the night sky on the mount
good luck!

Great start Alex!!!!

Super excited to see how this turns out.

Are you planning on using Marvelous Designer for the cloth?

Yeah! Hopefully as much as possible because it's something I really want to dive into more.

First sculpt pass for the character! Even though most of it will wind up being covered, I couldn't resist working on some anatomy anyway

Progress on the stag sculpt, it's my first real time sculpting animal anatomy so if anyone has some knowledge to improve it, that would be awesome! I's like the base to be solid before I do more supernatural and stylized stuff to it. Horns are placeholders.

Updates on the deer, I got a lot of great anatomy feedback from some friends
Comparison gif:

I have retopoed the base of the character and done a few minor touch-ups, my plan is to do the same with this. I'm going to do things a little "backwards" and do a rig with some posing tests to see what I can get away with. I will be able to easily transfer the weights to more detailed meshes later on and hopefully it will make that process easier.

I did a rig and skinning job on the base proxy meshes with the hope I can copy the weights onto more complicated meshes later. Hopefully it will make my life easier once it gets to that stage! I also did some posing to figure out what I want to go for, I can even use these on the new mesh later because the rig shouldn't change much. Onto doing all of the Marvelous and high res stuff next!

My goodness! This project is amazing! I'm really looking forward to seeing how the final scene will look like!

Whoa thank you!
I forgot to mention that I'm hoping to use both poses. There are still some tweaks that can be made, like the camera is not set and I had one person tell me they would like to see the deer more so I might move it a bit on the second pose.
This is a little something I picked up when I went through some rigging courses, its will be my first real time copying weights like this so hopefully it will all work out!

This is one of the ones I've been watching since the beginning, and I really love how it's coming together. I do hope you get a chance to use both poses.

Thanks @InfinityComplex! That means a lot, I feel pretty hopeful about using them both.
@rezilience Thanks Erik!

Some Marvelous work, I think it's a a decent enough state to take further in Zbrush. I tried to do the main skirt with some pleats but Marvelous just wasn't having it. Colors aren't final or anything, it's just for me to keep track of different materials

The sculpt is pretty much done, I'm going to try and include more details in the texture phase because time is running a little short and it will be faster for me to do it there.

Bonus: messed around with a VFX idea for the crown. It needs to be polished more but this is the idea I'm shooting for. This will also be applied to the Stag's horns and the arrows for the bow.

Bakes and poses are done! Moving on to Substance for the final stretch, a lot of detail work will be done there. The Lightning animates, hopefully the marmoset viewer file will be small enough to upload to the forum. You will also be able to switch between the poses.
