Good day! I hope all of you have fun and learn a ton doing this challenge :smile: I sure hope to heh.

Here's a bit of backstory to the character I'll be creating:

Miranda was a girl who was involved in an accident at a young age. Her parents both died. She was found by a member of a secret, unknown to the world organization that hunts and kills demons, called Lux Caeli, or Heavenly Light.

She was healed there, and trained. During her training, her skill with the bow was exceptional, and so was her ability to track the demons. Once she had passed her "final exam" and knighted into the order, her name was changed to Muriel and she was given an enchanted bow.

So that's what I'll be creating :smile: I'll be keeping my progress here and on my instagram.

Here is a little armor concept, I'm going for a look different than what you usually see, its always white and gold. i want something else :wink: based off an elven concept.

Working on a concept for the crossbow. I decided archer was too...cliche. Crossbow for range, and also CQC :wink:

I've also decided i like the first armor concept best. so I'm sticking with that :wink:

A mood composition concept. Gonna do a few studies of movie fight scenes so I can nail what I see in my head. :smile:

Hey! I really love the backstory of your character and her armour suits her well :smile: First illustration draft looks promising as well! I would be a bit cautious with her expression; perhaps keep the firm and stern look in her eyes but close her mouth (more)? It would be a shame if her face is to distracting from the rest of the illustration.

Thought about it, did a bunch of thumbnails and decided on a new comp.

It's really rough, but this will be my final, eventually. :wink:

you can tilt the axe for example,so it wont be frontal view.Establish shoulders line and it's tilt ,hips tilt. Add a bend in the neck ,explore different direction for the character's gaze
