Welp, my first submission of '21 - kind of annoyed at myself with how long I took with this one, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.

My attempt was for my first "painterly" picture so I approached it with the usual formula of B&W and then colouring on top before I realised that I plain haven't built up enough technical knowledge for that. In the end, I just started painting in colour on top of what I had, smoothing out and blending away the lineart underneath. (By the time I was done with the lighting effects, it's hardly a painting anymore!)

Thanks! (Though typical - now after it's been "finished and posted," I'm seeing a couple of things I'd love to change. Chief among them being her arms the same size despite one being further in the background...)

Hey Dash. Nice work!

Although I do see what you mean with the arms, the biggest thing that stood out to me was the legs. they seem really small in comparison to everything else. furthermore, the actual foot in the foreground seems to have higher perspective to the leg above it. I think the colors give it the illusion of it being higher than it should be.
