Yes, you're using the forums right! Also, welcome! But;
Wow! This is really great, but I think you've come quite far and it might be a bit problematic to change composition. Either way, there are a couple things that seem weird.
Overall, the composition seems really good, its dynamic and its interesting. The main problem with it right NOW, are perhaps the complexity ratios, which contribute to leading the eye and contribute to composition. Now, what I mean is that, its very "clustery" right now, but there are ways of getting around that. Right now, even your background has a lot of detail (and I don't mean the robot). The environment around your character is a bit too detailed, and it takes away from her. Besides, it seems a bit abstract, as most of the pieces are either cut out (due to not fitting in the dynamic frame) or are simply too technological. This makes these assets kind of a waste, and I don't mean that in a rude way. Consider adding elements that contributes to the story and piece, or making them at least have purpose. You should be able to point at one of those background elements and say "oh, thats a laser" or "oh, that is a weapon". In this scenario, you have some sort of round objects with cables, (we can understand cables), but what about the rest?
The reason I bring this up, is because, if it doesn't at least make visual sense, and it has a lot of detail, then it contributes to the cluster and destabilises the composition.
Now, I'm probably being too strict right now, as sci-fi tends to have cluster, and I don't mind those circle things too much. What does make it weird though, are all the different shapes. You have circles, squares, triangles and many different organic shapes, which makes the shapelanguage of the scene confusing. Especially with the bottom left corner being cut out, making ABSTRACT shapes.
Oh, sidenote; I didn't realize that the white spot to the right was a screen, it seemed more like it was yet another window until I closely inspected the frames and such. Not saying that is bad, and it is probably my mistake, but a general design advice is to avoid confusion, and make things obvious!
Now, second thing that that is affecting the composition at the moment, and that are values.
Now, your values are kind of great, they work really well from above, where the character brightly stands out due to the dark background. However, when you start going down, it becomes more clustery with details and everything becomes more gray due to low contrast. You can likely get away with this by cranking up the contrast on the character, but you could do with simply separating her by adding shadows between her and the other things.
In the end, I think this is a great piece. I really love it. I really love this conceptual robotic arm that she is using, and you're flaunting it in the middle of the composition, it is logical and it contributes strongly to what is happening. Anyway, keep up the good work! Hopefully this was helpful.
