6-8 clothing studies (out of 12).
First two are so far may favorite and turned out great. The last one is a bit half-assed, but I think I choose the wrong photo with a material that's too much textured and it messed up with my perception of folds.

Also, another three of putting cloth onto undressed figure. I've decided to not make it too rendered as I think of this exercise as of something that helps me understand how the folds can react on body and sometimes I'm spending too much time with this, I don't have much energy to render it :P.

Also - I've noticed that with this assignment using and AI generated clothes is not that bad as I only need to see the main shape and folds and I can adjust the rest quite easily :). I still don't like using it, but picking a first seen reference saves a lot of time :).

All those are works from the past month, my back still won't let me to sit too long with drawing, so I'm trying to take it easy, but also trying to learn how to draw faster. So the rendered studies takes between 1,5 to 2 hours of work, while the other cloths I'm getting done in around 40 minutes to an hour.
So I think I've sped up the process a little bit

Looking forward to work more on the assignments, so I could finally go to the next topic and next term soon.

wonderfully done mate

I think something about the folds on the top of the last one look off to me but overall it's great stuff

cheers

@snakker, yes you're right, I think those folds should look less stiff and artificial, but that was the best I could do so far. And the ruffles are always way harder to draw from different directions ^^.
I'll try better for the next :).

Thank you though, i appreciate you like it.

Your work is great, wish I could draw folds like you. Seeing how much you draw for each assignment has inspired me to try and do a lot more

@Nosnibor thank you so much and I'm truly glad my work inspire you to grow :).
While I cannot commit to daily assignments, I always count all the exercises from the study companion guide and make a list of how many drawings I should make for the term and then whenever I have the time I trying to fill the list as much as I can ^^.
It gives me a little gamification to all this work as seeing the list being filled gives a good level of satisfaction and endorphins every time I can mark the checkbox :D.
Although I'm lacking a lot with this 3rd term and so far my list is looking like this:

So I'm trying to find the time to draw more assignments not only to learn but to finally fill the list and go further with my learning :). It happens to be a bit of a motivation as well :).

This is a cool idea. What's the app called?

@levelhead14 @Nosnibor yes, it's exactly Obsidian :).
It requires a bit of knowledge to use and I'm still exploring some of it's features, but the best that it can offer is the ability to sync the notes between devices so I have the access to it everywhere, no matter on what device I'm working on ^^.

1 month later

Been a while, but with all what's going on, even if I'm drawing a bit, I couldn't find the time to post :P.
But finally manage to sit for a couple minutes to do this

Here are my next studies - I'm mainly focus on finishing the clothing assignments before I'll get to the anatomy and sculpting, so I hope you'll forgive me for such monothematic ^^.

First one for cloth on naked figure. I'm still doing it pretty fast and not with too much rendering, but I have to say, I learn some things I can use in my other work already:

Next, another photo study. I'm pretty close to an end with it, having only one left:

I'm starting to adding some more lineart to those to emphasize the contrast and because pure rendering is not one of my strengths, beside it's also not the style I'm aiming for.

Last of the clothing study which makes this assignment done!

I'm gonna say FINALLY, because those were taking a lot of time (around 2 hours each) and while I'm really not that good with rendering (totally lineart person) I had a hard time making those.

Also: I put some more effort to those exercises lately as I'm feeling slightly better with my spine, so here are another two of clothing on a figure:

I'm starting to really like those because I can make them fairly quick, especially when I'm not focusing on details and shading that much :P.

24 days later

Been a while, but I felt good enough recently so I made some work with either assignments here and some personal projects :D.

Getting really close to end up the clothing section and I can't wait for it to end it's been a hell of work with all those assignments.
Easy to say I start to get a bit bored with it :P.

But whining aside, here are last 5 of putting clothes on a character pieces which makes me done with this assignment at last:

This was both the easiest and the hardest thing to do, because I didn't have to worry about the figure drawing and making all the rendering right, but at the same time I needed to think how the folds would behave and I'm more than sure that I got it wrong a couple times :P. Well, there's still much to learn here, but I have definitely more understanding of it :).

To rest a little from cloth rendering I made some lineart ones and as I'm totally into detailed lineart, this was super relaxing and fun XD:

Five of those makes exactly half of the assignment  and each one is taking me about an hour or so, depends on details and complexity of folds. But it's way easier than trying to render or even than putting clothes on character.
