Hi everyone, I’m Julia!
I’m a 2D animator aspiring to be a big time cartoon creator. I have a Bachelor's in Motion Design. During my senior year, I focused on character animation which ignited my childhood dreams of making cartoons that brought me to where I am now. My weak point is drawing hence why I am taking this course. My goal is to be able to draw confidently and learn as much as I can. I look forward to working and growing with you all !

Thank you, yours too! Ive actually been enrolled for about a year now but had to stop because of a work project I had (and the fear of posting my progress on here). But I am only on term 2 anatomy. Wait til you see how much you progress just in that short time. It's crazy!! Definitely excited to grow together. I will check in with you as well!

I checked out ur website and its pretty... interesting XD i don't like horror tho but ur stuff is still pretty cool. was that done via vector graphics animation or was that more hand drawn?
(Actually looked at ur resume page outta curiosity and noticed u rigged a lot so figured its probs Vector motion graphics.)

Thank you! I am actually rebranding my stuff to not Dunn creating. My website expired last week so I'm taking my chance to redo it all! I am planning on starting a YouTube too so it can all be under the same name !!

My animations are a mix of different things. I had a private mentor teach me character in college through AE which is ENTIRELY different from harmony. So I can do really basic bone rigs that act more realistic, 360 rigs, rigs that are more fluent/have more freedom, and im also learning master controllers to do tilts and stuff. It's really great to have the knowledge of the 360 rigs. It takes a lot to make but so beneficial in the animation stage! Some of my work is also hand drawn and majority is a hybrid of both.

I really like your character designs, I love the color choices! Is making comics/mangas what you want to do? I know you said you don’t like horror but im sure you have heard of Jung Ito? He’s my absolute FAVORITE artist. I (almost) own all of his books. Would be awesome if you did a horror crossover in your style. I love mixing pretty with gore/horror. My traditional art is really gorey. I like showing the “beauty” and emotion through gore.

I must say... I could NOT comprehend perspective for all the years I have been an artist. Always wanted to know how to so I could make awesome backgrounds for my animations. Marc said two words and BAM! Totally understood everything.

Mind. Blown.

But anyways, this is my witches lair. I had so much fun coming up with all my potion ingredients I still feel like something is missing. It may be the walls and the ceiling. Should I make it wood like the flooring? Or maybe when it's colored it will fix it?

this looks awesome! you can add the deets as you color or add it in the lineart - which ever way works best for you. maybe experiment with two wood planks:
1. add deets via lineart then color
2. leave lineart as is and try coloring + add deets

and see which way u like and then once u pick a method replicate that for the rest of ur floor

That sounds like a good plan, thank you! I was thinking of even doing it at a lighter line weight in fear of it looking to overbearing but idk, it may look really cool!

Damn this looks cool!! If you feel up to it maybe add a bit more detail to the right wall like more dried plants above the fireplace or something since It feels kinda empty or maybe add some wall texture

Thank you! And right? something looks like it's missing. I think I could add some more dried herbs... Maybe some different broomsticks.. or maybe a sleeping black cat on top of the fireplace ! Ill mess with it and add the update, thank you !

I was going to add a few different changes but I think adding the wood texture to the walls did it of me!
