Need help Corgi illustration

Hi, I've been trying greyscale lately and i notice a bit too late that I drew my sketch on the same layer as my Background... should i just draw the sketch into another layer to fix it or just go with it?

If you wanna go on a adventure then you can just go with it. If you want to play it safe and not worry about having a headache later down the road; you can do it in steps. So really it's up to you. Do what you feel more comfortable with.

I almost always forget about the sketch layer xD
But I've found out that when I forget about it and take the adventure quest , it turns out to be a great experience. I think this is happening because I don't feel restraint about the early concept and I can take it much more further, more details, some other pieces, etc.
So, I recommend the adventure path
