Hey guys! Boy I haven't had a dedicated art blog since the Sycra forum. Started there in 2014 and when the discord arrived I pretty much dropped the entire thing just a few years later. I wanted to get back into an artsy atmosphere, since I left my day job to do art full time (of which i currently am doing freelance illustration contracts mostly but would like a job in concepts) it's been a bit lonely just at home all day drawing. So making a few friends here would be nice too!
A little bit of history on me: I've been an artist now since I was a kid, before I decided to "officially" become an artist I was drawing mostly dragons and unicorns from around age 5. I started my journey into being a concept artist when I was 14 and had discovered game art for the first time. It was unlike anything I've ever seen before. I don't remember the piece in particular but it was probably some high fantasy floating island with waterfalls kinda stuff. I was hooked since then, created a story and some characters and I used that universe to build my kind of world with the things I wanted to see.
To this day I still have that story and those characters, they've developed a tonne in the decade I've had them and a long term life goal is to make a webcomic out of it. Right now though I'm working towards becoming a concept artist and one day living with my dearly beloved partner who lives over in California (I'm from the UK).
My interests include angels, dragons, (or creatures in general), sailing ships, anatomy (pretty boys) and drapery in particular. I enjoy playing games, exercising and going to Starbucks when I can in my free time.
Anyway enough about my life story, here's some of my own favourite art I've done in the past few years just to give you a taste of what i do!
I'm also currently taking part in this years' Art War 4 with my fire character Phaedrus!
