I am super excited to get started with my Art School Journey!
As a student of Indie Game Development, I will be using these new skills to improve my games and create memorable characters and environments for my players.

Had a lot of fun with the pen control practice (though I'm currently doing this in traditional format because my digital supplies are at a different residence, oops). Making sure to take it lightly and leave some notes behind so I improve even just 1% each day.

I'm using Clip Studio instead of Photoshop, so it took a bit of extra work to understand all the tools and get the interface setup - but I already feel much more confident inside the software and have been amazed at the things it (or I) can achieve.

My main struggles with this task were:
- Oversaturating colours (I just like vibrant designs and can't help myself haha)
- Pulling out too much of the shadows and having overly strong highlights when doing tonal corrections

That said, I'm still really happy with the results, considering this was the first time I had used CSP in any capacity on my own. Looking forward to the more advanced homeworks coming up!

Progressed into Week 2 of Term 1 and started getting to grips with cylinders and forms
This was a big push out of my comfort zone. It took AAAAGGES to work out how to draw cylinders as though you are viewing them from different directions and how to make them look like they are far off in the distance versus close up.

Followed this up with some figure drawing, using the cylinder practice. I was trying really hard to take note of which limbs were closer to the camera and therefore how the cylinder forms would appear in a figure drawing, which planes would be visible etcetera. Super fun

Gonna be moving on to proportions, basic anatomy, and gesture drawing homeworks across the next couple of days!
