Hi I have been following Marc Brunets channel and also bought some courses. In the recent video where he shows how to make the picture pop, or the figure stand out from the painting, it really works. However, on that video the flat layer is on a normal blending mode. In other videos it is on a multiply mode.
If I add a background other than white to a multiply mode flat, it will get darker. If I change a flat layer into a normal one after I've finished with it it changes the values. So I tried adding a copy of the flat layer under the flat layer colored white. This works, but unfortunately it creates white ugly borders around the flat. I can select that and shrink it some pixel and delete everything inverted, but then it creates problems where there are holes in the figure, like the area between the body and the arm.
So basically, I wonder if someone can explain the workflow for that. What is the step from having a flat on a multiply layer to adding a darker background without having the issues I described. Thanks a lot if anyone sees this! Oh, and I guess I will start a thread too for semester 1 !
