Hi there, I'm Rachel! First post in Art School
ABOUT ME: I'm a self-taught artist who went to university for Graphic Design. I currently have a full-time job as a Graphic Designer (which makes it a bit difficult to find extra time), but my true passion is to become an Illustrator for a studio one day. It could be for books, video games, movies, TV shows... doesn't matter to me! I enjoy drawing 'fan art' of my favorite characters; I feel my skills would be best applied to doing splash art! Or maybe character design? Not sure yet.
TL;DR - Self-taught artist looking to better my skills by re-learning the basics properly to become an Illustrator. Most likely painting character splash art.
1-Point Perspective: I know the basics of perspective, but have always struggled when it came to creating and designing spaces that look correct. Would love feedback on my first room drawing so I can move onto 2-point perspective more confidently.
Gesture Drawing: - My mind usually doesn't like 'abstract' images, so gesture drawing is hard for me to grasp since I always want to draw the full figure's shapes.
Cylinders on Forms: I think I did a pretty decent job on these, but foreshortening has always been difficult for me. I hope this technique helps!
