Hey guys! My name is Gabriel Vasali, I am a 17 years old high school student currently living in Hungary. I started art 3-4 years ago and I quickly become passionate about it.
I really like character and enviroment design, architecture, and basically all the things you can see in movies or games. Later on I would also like to try out other stuff, like 3D and animation, but now i want to focus at 2D Digital Painting mainly. Here in the next years my main goal is improving these skills. I think I have a big potential so I hope I can progress fast.
I really want to get into art school, but since my high school does not teach art at all, I literally have to self-educate myself. Luckily I am very good at that, but I still have to ask for your help.
I found this site 2 months ago, when the Art War was on. I was watching some digital painting tutorial videos back then so I quicly jumped into it, and brutally failed (as you can see here). Either ways, it was a nice practice for me and it was actually the thing that got me into the art even more, and in the last month I made several much nicer (altough not finished pieces).
Here they are:
A not yet finished portrait of my roomate
My last failed attempt for art war:
A nice idea which started only with a single cloud (btw. i killed this pic becouse i accidentally merged all the layers ):
And this thing:
These are the pictures I want to start this blog with. From now on I want to draw something every single day. It will be preety hard, since i have other studies to do, but i will try. I will try to upload them here if it's possible, so you (and I) can see my progress. I am looking forward to it. Please feel free to critisize me or ask questions and stuff. Wish me luck!
ps.: A little more about myself:
Favourite artist: Oliver Chipping;
Favourite musician: King Diamond;
Favourite game: Age of Empires II;
Favourite song: Vektor - Recharging the Void;
Favourite beer: Argus Strong;
and i can't think about more
Edit: Please criticise my work, and my progress! It would be really helpful. Thank you!
