Thanks for the comments! They are very helpful. As for strictly picking either Sci-Fi or Fantasy, I'm more entering this contest to practice continuously refining a character, (and I already have all the stuff they're giving away anyways) so I sorta figured that I wouldn't mind if I had to break that rule a little bit for my own satisfaction. Besides, a true hero is one who stops the war, and makes peace, and who better to do that then one who is a part of both worlds?
Excerpt from the recovered diary of the traitorous Grand Sage
Dire straits I am in, now. The council did not heed my advice to refrain from provoking the magicless culture. Who knew they relied on miracles we could not understand? They made me out a coward, a traitor, forcing me to flee in the dead of night.
This war is my responibility. I was the one who opened that portal. Roberto, Celica, my scribe, all dead for naught. All is not lost, though. I found one of their solders; some iron imp, I can only assume. It seems to have lost it's memory; it does not wish to fight.
Very well then. It seems I have an unlikely travel companion. It is my hope that we do not die together, at the very least.
With these here I tried some concepts with making a cyborg elf and some robot mage ideas. I personally like the one on the bottom left; it has more personality. I like the barrel shape, it reminds me of Chrono Trigger.
I had a more humanoid robot mage that I sketched before this one, but I still can't get it to upload, for some reason.
