He has the power to make people forget his existence instantly. Like black matter, we know nothing about him, but somehow we feel his existence because of its consequences.

It would be nice if he's a mafia boss, working in the dark. Even his grunts wouldn't know him. For more aesthetic, he could activates his power by smoking. His body can "disappear" in the smoke.

Here's two poses for the final illustration. I love the first one in term of narration. Still, I would like to find a few more poses.

Here's the sketch of my illustration. I worked hard on perspective, hope the result is ok.

I will illustrate his power by two ways :
- His body disappearing with the smoke
-The smoke surrounding the head of the cops. Their eyes will be white, of blindness.

I'm liking the idea and the layout, but I don't think that the power is really reading, the cops look more like they are helpless in the face of someone that has enough money to just stab someone in the middle of the street.

Perhaps you could fix the issue by having someone staring right through him at the crime, but that would be a considerably different image. Or perhaps just more people all staring at the crime and ignoring him as he walks through the crowd, made more obvious if he was just covered in blood and clearly did it.

As I said before, I'll try to make his power understable in two ways:

I'll add the smoke at the very end I think. Still not sure.

But if I can make the power more readable even without the smoke, it would be great! More people is a good idea, and will fulfill the scene. Right now it's too empty.

The most concern I have with this illustration (and even if I really like it)...it's all the blank spaces on the bottom canvas...I do agree with @PeterH , especially for more crowd (but yes it takes some time...I totally understand that).

Otherwise, very cool character !

Thanks! I totally agree with you mr_dessin. Because the bottom was too empty, I cut a little. Maybe it's still not enough. I can't add people in this blank space, or maybe just a head in the middle.

And why not some (small) kids on the corner ? (left and or right).
Kids could somehow detect him (they are usually more smart because they have more neurones than us, adult xD) and point a finger, like if they saw a monster or something ?

Also, a black/yellow "Police line do not cross" line around the murder could be nice to see ? (but maybe a bit early ?)

Just small details, but that add cool things to look at in your piece : D
Nice grey scale ^^ (although maybe don't push too much the white on murder scene...but in a way...why not, your villain will be a "fog" in the end hehe)

I had fun adding the kid and the dog! I love the result! It was a good idea from you, kids and animals can be the limits of his superpower. Hopefully, nobody listen to them hehe.
Yes I envisaged a "don't cross line", here it is!

I cleaned up my work, and colored it.

It's not over yet. But I'm not confident about the colors, so I prefer to ask your opinion. Is the overall ok ?

That looks a little bit too dark ?
Maybe put some highlights on his left side, at least on his upper right (yes his right lol) arm (we see already highlights on upper dog skull).
I know we should not really see him but...you know right ? ^^

Oh and you probably already thought about it, but window, lamp lights etc in the background ?

Anyways keep it up !
