This is my concept idea:
The cycle has never been broken. Some have tried to break it or to at least divert their destiny to better terms. None have been successful. It always reverts back to its original course and continues.
The cycle of the Grand Hero versus the Evil Villain is always the same. The Evil Villain rules supreme across the land; bringing chaos and suffering across the land. Then one day a child is born, blessed by the gods to become the one that ends The Evil One’s reign. They are then trained from the time they can walk to fight, to protect, and to complete their goal.
They are introduced to people that will join them in their quest, people who were affected by the travicities of the war of good and evil. This includes another blessed by the gods to aid them with their blessed abilities of healing and protection. They will fight together, live together, bond with one another. The Hero and the Healer form an even greater bond… before the final battle falling in love with one another. They promise one another that once peace is restored across the land they will settle down together, maybe even starting a family. They pray for each others’ safety and for them to return to each other in the final battle.
The final battle comes. Friends and enemies die by each others’ blades and magic. The Hero and the Healer are the only two left to face the dreadful villain. As blades clash and magic sparks the truth is finally revealed.
The only way to defeat the Evil Villain… is for the Hero to die and the Healer to be corrupted and become the next Evil Villain. The Hero must die the hands of their love, the pain corrupting the pure soul until they are stained black; their hands forever stained with their blood. The Healer then curses the gods for their traitorous deeds and vows revenge.
And then… the cycle repeats itself. For the world must remain in balance...the cycle unbroken.
