Updates:

I've been so undecided over what it is that I wanted to do, but I'm gonna go with SciFi.

I'm thinking of an Alien wearing some sort of armored suit.

This is what I have so far along with some reference ideas. The head is a place holder for now to keep me grounded, but it will be replaced with an Alien head.

His legs seem quite short, especially his lower legs and his feet are very small. Same for his hands.

And lastly, this is personal, but to me the design is very forgetful - I've seen this hundreds of times before. Try more with shapes ^^

Right now I'm simply carving out shapes with dam standard, and sharpening them up with h polish, eventually I want to extract pieces from this to create hard surface shapes around a body. I knew I wanted to do some type of SciFi Alien creature, but wasn't too sure on a concept. I'll try and think outside the box.

Hey there, good start. Looks like you could liven up the silhouette a bit. He looks quite stiff too. Just some thoughts. The ref looks great, I like where you're headed. Cheers.

Just updating this with a quick WIP.

I made some mechanical wings that could potentially be added on. But I was having trouble making sense on attaching them to the back without the attachment looking awkward. Still figuring that part out. But here is an earlier WIP with those additions.
