Feedback for my painting

Hi there,
I want to get feedback and criticism about my painting. I want to know which parts i overworked or underworked like i have to be more lose or tight. Don't hold back please i am not that sensitive and also i believe to for getting better something i have to get harsh truth and critics.

Btw i wrote that poem to reflect his personality and beliefs.

Hi welcome to the forums. I do really like the concept and the colors work nice with each other, That being said I think you would benefit from focusing less on the small details like that shirt line or the beard with the paintbrush. It really distracts the eye and you kinda look all over the place. If you want the viewer to look at the face make the details less as you go out. I also think that you are relying to much on that hair brush it makes the beard and eyebrows feel artificial I would recommend grouping the hair into larger sections and make the viewer feel the shape of the beard. You can still use the brush but use it more sparingly to really highlight the painting.

you can see this this painting how there is a solid mass underneath the paint and to highlight the strands they used a couple strokes of a lighter brush just to add highlight where it was needed.

I will be careful next time areas you pointed. Especially with hair brush also with all small details. I should choose a focus point. And thanks for your quicksketch , looks really nice.
