Hello Cubebrush Art Community!
How are you on this fine day? Here is the first illustration for my Runic story. Any critiques or feedback is always welcomed :D. I finished up to this point last night, giving some time to sleep on the decisions I made on this piece. Now to re-assess the choices and start cleaning up the painting.
The Bloody Leviathan has anchored along one of the docks at Port Tansiron.
Here is a look after the thumbnail stage as I rough out the shapes and get the idea down on canvas.
Taking some time refining the composition some, getting some better leading lines in some bland areas, and starting to add in some textured information in there. Really starting to get happy with the piece.
At this stage, I am wanting to add more life in this town. Asking myself questions like:
- What time of day is it?
- What would people be doing in this area?
- How can I make this feel like a lived in port town?
Looking back with what I have added so far, I think I still have a few other people to put in.
