Selunare - Art School Journey

Hi everyone!

I am Selunare, a 26 years old artist from austria.
I enjoy drawing since I can remember and started with digital art about ten years ago. It's my dream to tell stories with my drawings and combine drawing with one of my other hobbies: story writing. Mostly I draw Fanart from my favourite series but I also like drawing my own fantasy characters.

During the drawing process I struggle with things like anatomy, poses and composition a lot. That holds me back from drawing the scenes that I would really like to create. So I decided to start with Digital Art School to get more creative freedom. I am excited to find out where this journey will take me!

The very first Assignment is finished.
At the beginning I used the stabilizer for the brush like I always do. After that I tried it without. It was difficult at first but then it was surprisingly fun. Maybe I will practice this more in the future.

Here is the next assignment. I often experiment with hue, contrast and saturation but I never used color balance or curves. So it was interesting to try them out. I think some parts of the exercise came out nice whereas others still need some work.

Since I unexpectedly got a new job a few weeks ago and I learn so many new things, I don't have much concentration left to study new art things too. But I still draw and experiment. Hopefully once I get used to the new work, I will be able to continue with Art School.

I also designed a new character and practiced shading and side view. His name is Aaron.
