Your setup is very similar to mine with a window to the right and printer/scanner to the left. Here's mine but there are 3 elements missing: 2 cats (they were outside while I took the pic) and my phone (I took the pic with it).
I have an alienware with windows 10, wacom cintiq 13 hd, sony tv for screen, (no touch screen), extra, small keyboard for painting shortcuts. I use clipstudio paint pro because it's the only thing I can afford right now. I'm also proud of my 2 books I got for my birthday: Drawing Anatomy and The Art of Blizzard Entertainment.
Aww yeah I love getting to see where other people work! Other people's houses are so interesting. I love how light and spacious your workspaces are!
@joabt That chair looks so comfy
Here's my workspace. I purchased a third hand Cintiq recently, otherwise I'd have a 1st gen Bamboo Fun on display. Such an exciting upgrade! I'm really enjoying the cintiq. My PC is one I custom built a few years ago. 50% of the plants in this photo are fake, but the real 50% are amazingly alive after a whole year in my care. The drawer unit has my copics inside, and my sketchbooks are next to it. So many sketchbooks... Also there are 6 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure things in this picture. I really like JoJo's haha.
I have been recently exploring with something I read in the book Steal Like An Artist, which is to have a seperate space for digital work and traditional work.
So in the other space is where I brainstorm, sketch and stuff, and in the other is where I bring the idea together. Because it speaks about where you're prone to just let the tools decide for you, instead of using your own capabilities.
Been really enjoying it so far, because the traditional space is so cozy, and when I am done in there I bring the lamp in the other room to also make it cozy, but doesn't have similar effect since I am surrounded by books in the other room.
My current gear is :
Dell Inspiron 15
Asus Monitor 21 Inch or so
Keyboard COD MW3 G105
Klip Mouse KMW-355
Huion Tablet H610 Pro (Not shown on the photo because currently waiting for my pen to arrive due that the other one broke)
Have yet to test the idea of drawing the ideas in the other room and bring them to the digital world with the tablet because my pen broke. I will be testing it for studying as well.
Like come in the other room and look at ref take notes of what I find interesting and go back in the other room and draw the ideas down (of course not with the notes) that's something I also read in a book called Art Spirit.
Oh man... I am filling up the thread with my rambling let me leave it here.
Nothing special really, standing desk with a PC on top of it, it is pretty spacey 1 monitor the other a capacitor is acting up and it smokes a bit when i use it so its only for emergency things, thinking of attempting a repair though that will be a while, might just be best to get a new one.
Speakers on the side of the tower, i am glad i got a standing desk, i rigged up a seated ghetto version under it with a wood plank (stained) and two small wooden dressers so I can do both without adjusting the standing desk (it is not an automatic standing / sitting desk, it is manual so i'd have to readjust each leg every time)
Ikea if i remember correctly, black desk , steel legs tallest they had, black pc/speakers, black keyboard, mouse, tablet, pen.
So what I'm using is.. um...
Linen canvas
Old Holland paints
Linseed oil medium
Rosemary's Brushes
(the palette in the frame is the guy's to the left of me, mine is also glass but with very carefully organised paint )
Also have a basic home work station for digital stuff. Just a large intros pro with a 27 inch monitor/computer with photoshop. Don't have a lot of time for digital stuff anymore :C
3 months later
Well I try to have as much inspiration around as I can, so there is some of my artwork on the wall and on the left are pages from cut up promotional stuff that has been given to me as I attendet info days at schools and stuff. Funily enough they try to bait you in with all this cool looking stuff, I just put it up on my wall even though I'll never go there because it's so damn expensive xD They are pretty regardless so. And my Loish book that I just love to look at and go through when my brain's stuck again - also some rly oldschool books, shakespear and german literature. I work on an Intuos Pro M, my PC is a Gaming PC that I put together with a friend of mine that runs Photoshop CC, ZBrush and Maya - even though I have no Idea how to use the last two, but I'm working on it!
TL;DR nothing special.
(Don't interpret much into the toilet roll, we just don't have napkins and I eat at that desk as well xD)
