Greetings and salutations everyone,
my name is Moondrixx and my Partners in crime are Rin and Disco_pope, we are all Students at Murdoch University Perth studying "Games Art and Design". This Challenge was made aware to us by a fellow student and we are fired up to compete. First Let me introduce my self a little; i have a back ground in 3D Modelling and Programming, and would like to pursue a career in Technical Art, i have a love for working with variables to generate stuff and things (technical term i swear).
Rin: a Talented 2D artist who through this coarse is dabbling in 3D and eager to learn and try new things within the industry.
Disco_pope: a 2D and 3D artist also looking at becoming a technical artist in the AAA scene, focusing on story related games.
we all hope that this challenge brings out some of our best work and is just the start of what we hope to achieve.
ok so let me set the setting for you,
our world, once the forefront of technology where space travel was the norm and every day life was easy going under the protection of the bio domes above. but when one of the larger space ships crashed the climate was set ablaze and almost nothing survived. in the aftermath all that's left is rusted and broken ships, nothing works and certainly no power or technology to use.
this sets up our old world as a Alien Sci-Fi setting, "The remains of the old world can be whatever you want, any genre."
this brings me to our new world, Fantasy; much time has passed since that day, and the Town lives, some how, though the people have changed, something happened back then, mutating the survivors in to part plant, this being a desert planet, and the plants that survive in this setting being cactus's and succulents many people have taking on the traits of these plants, including some spiky personalities.
