Hello again, time to update this...

I'm adding a few more good references. I'm starting to have an idea of what the machine may be like... but my first sketches are awful xd

I still can draw humans, though. I want to give up with the suit and do something else... but in my head it looks so cool.

I was trying to determine his age. I think I like the older one.

Well, I've made a more detailed sketch of the upper part of the suit. I know how the legs are going to be (more or less), so I need to focuss on the torso and arms next. Also, I now the overall look for my character, but I have to try different clothes.
Any advices welcome and really appreciated~

Arm and legs added, I want the other arm to be a big wapon. I am happy with this design, as I said, next the clothing and probably first sketches for the composition.

Hello, here's a little update: I've drawn a better pose for this character, and I've changed some proportions a bit (widen back, small changes to the face). A friend of mine whose artistic criteria I value, and admire, thinks these colors look more interesting than the others, so here's my test, with a background with the palette I think I'll use on the composition.
I still have to design his mechanic arm.

Hi, it's been a long time since I posted. I've been bussy, but I also watched some other entries. There are a lot of people in this contest, and some are amazing designers. It seems at this point I am not match, I guess that's why no one is even replying my posts anymore. My character is not bad, but I feel he's lacking something, and my mech design seems absolutely childish and conventional. So I did what I always do: study. That's probably the only thing I'm really good at.
So I found a very good series of tutorials about mech design. I will be posting my progress here, since I want to reinvent my mech almost completely. The race is still on, and I'm not quiting, even if no one ever notices (laugh). Let see how much I can learn until de deadline.

Another design, it's not really cool but close to what I would expect from my character: hard, mechanic, high damage vehicle. I may develop this one further.

Hello, it's been hard, but I finished the design of the mech. I would like to polish things further, but I have to think about the final composition (and I plan to make front and side view of the vehicle). I will color this one and add a landscape.
Anyway, this is the first mecha I draw in my life, and I think this resoult is not that bad =]

I'm adding these views of the machine. For my final composition, I already had a clear idea, but I played with the elements in 3D until I was satisfied, I'm using it as a reference. I've started drawing the main shapes for the desk and so on.
