Rin- a half-demon. I plan on making her armor white to contrast the dark demon skin and to maybe show that she struggles about accepting who she is.

Now I'm thinking about the composition of the illustration image. I think of her has this hardcore warrior that will push herself to the limits every battle.

cool idea dude, maybe have a buncha thorny type things back there like the one you have out in the front, as if she is standing on a cliff above the whole thing

Hi Josh,
Love the concept and character. It looks like you have figured the lighting out somewhat subconsciously. The shaded part of the face and helmet (characters right side), has the potential to draw viewers eye to the glowing red eye. I think that emphasises that the light source can come from top left . This would allow the left arm, knife and even some of the devoured demon to be your point of interest. I'm no expert, but just sharing my thoughts. happy thoughts
