Okay, I finally got to start cleaning no 6 as well.. Really got to decide on which one to push now. Time is kinda running out, but I'm dealing with commissions at the same time. sigh

Hope you get to finish..! Even if it ends up not meeting the deadline, the composition is solid! Liking the dynamic energy that comes from each of their mid-strike stances-

@ESL Thanks. I hope so too, especially now with the extension.

Currently, I'm kinda split between going with comp no 6 or 7.
I know that 7 is the most dynamic one. Especially if I crop it a bit differently, so the character gets more attention. But at the same time.. It's a generic mid battle scene. It tells a story in itself, but it's also something you'd expect.
Meanwhile no 6 gets some personal interaction for the character. Using the demonic arm and literally eating the victims face. Really pushing the evil narrative if nothing else. XD

Gaah, this is hard. XD
Maybe I should just jump onto color and hope for the best.

This compositon is a good choice because the poses are very dinamic! I liked the first version where he suck up the life from the person who liing in the floor. I know we have not too much time, so after the competition you could consider to paint that one just for fun..

Im pretty sure marc said to keep the gore SFW. So if youre doing the face one make sure to play it safe. Good luck

@sheyenne Thanks, yeah, I'mm leaning towards that. Going with no 7, and saving no 6 for later. And do it for my own portfolio.

@Mana_Crystals That's true. I knew about the SFW, but I just didn't consider it too gory.. XD But now that you mention it, yeah, I probably show consider it. XD So 7 is a better choice in every way now.. Just need to get something more unique into it. It's just too vanilla now. XD

I still think you should do the face one. It seems more intimate and I could see more of a personality in that. It doesnt even have to be gory, heres a good reference I think you can use incase you go the face route.

Okay, did some color experiments. Not really painting yet, just trying out values, saturation and colors. I think I'm getting to where I want. Lighting seems to work quite well.
I'm not entertained by the background colors yet though. Might change it and push for more of a night or evening scene. But at least the light is there. ^^

Do note that I'm working on this on 6% zoom so it's Very inprecise, and the full size version really doesn't do what I see justice. XD

Noice!
For your workflow you will gain a lot (lot!) of time if you start your drawing on a half size format and then you enlarge it when you put details. This way you don't get lost on your canvas.
