Omg, it looks like we are same-minded, hahahaha This is exsactly what I had in mind when I read the theme of the competition - old world and new one. I love your kind of coloring, it's more artificial and colorful regarding the darkness. Great focal point and use of light and shadow. Wish you all the best in the competition, mate!

@tonpix, I do love those Disney painted backgrounds! I would be glad if I managed to bring a bit from them to my work.

@obra-kalla, thank you! Indeed I was somewhat straightforward in treating the theme. I am still not sure that such colorful shadows are good, should try and see how it will look with less saturated dark tones.

Seems like close to final. I should look again later on with fresh eye for final adjustments and maybe mute some details for the sake of general impression. Right now the underwater part of the image seems excessively contrasty and noisy.

For now I am going to switch to concept sheet so that I am ready to make final submission any time before deadline.

I made use of my 3d model and did a sketch of general view of the location with a different lighting. I am going to put it in concept sheet.

I have just noticed a glitch in my concept sheet. This is not critical (one of the pillars is missing) but somewhat annoying. As the time is over and I shouldn't edit my submission anymore I decided to post it separately.
