I have been away for a long while. Been on crunch since August of last year. It hasn't been great for mental health and motivation. Definitely fell into the whole mental loop of, "Why bother? You won't amount to anything." But! When in doubt... just do it first and question later.

I did it with the gesture first and sketched over the gesture and built it up from there. I couldn't quite do it the same way as how it was demonstrated without the gesture drawing.

More studies hot on the heels of the previous practice. This was a cross between gesture and using the bounding box method to figure out the placement of the body parts and landmarks.

2 point perspective done!!!!! omg Term 1 is taking forever.. Trying to fight the urge to just jump to Term 2. One point perspective homework left before finishing the Term!!!

Took a while to practice drawing ellipses on a wacom and to get that coordination down before I did the head construction.

Ear studies from the Term 2 head tutorial.

Decided to try out how people use tone paper to do sketches with just 3 or 4 values. Still a little trying to get the hang of it but nothing more practice won't fix.

Work has been crazy and it really made me unable to sketch as much as I wanted. Just want to sleep every time I get home.

Nose studies. Man this one was a little hard to grasp from the lesson. Had to look at other examples to understand the structure and planes. This was a Hogarth study.

Base of the Hogarth study I traced out some nose structures from pictures and tried to sketch the construction out on the side.

It has been a while since I posted. Sadly work has been insane and have been juggling learning Houdini for work and art on the side was taking it's toll on me.

First Attempt at Term 2 putting all the features of the head together and doing something other than hatching. Gonna do a lot more attempts and studies before I proceed to the next term. Some sort of a train wreck but lets see how the next few attempts are like.

Head plane studies. Followed along with Chris Legaspi. Wanted to figure out how to make sense of heads. Got a few names of masters to follow and look at too for references!

After weeks of grinding drawing head lay ins every chance I get. I manage to improve a little. So far Female features are just so hard to render and so are getting their heads to look delicate.

Gonna grind a bit more before moving on. If there is anyone that can point me in a direction in rendering female heads and features do let me know!
