Hello,My name is Kanuni and I started Art School on the first of january. I'm too hard on myself when it comes to progression in my art skill, so I wanted to do this art journey topic as well. Here is some of the stuff I have saved from january:

The first month has been a TON of troubleshooting and asking for feedback. I want to get to a level where I can draw figures freehand like David Finch: Any tips on how to get there would be great.
I recently watched this video from David Finch. What a legend!! I love his videos and find them a great supplement. Trust me, I understand the troubleshooting aspect. I hit roadblocks all the time. My strategy is when I hit a road block, I think on it, observe it, research it and incubate it in my mind and leave it a lone for a while. I give my mind time to work on it while I do something different. Then I come back, try again and repeat the process. I hit a lot of road blocks, so I just cycle this process between roadblocks lol. Marc put out a video on stopping art block a while ago which isn't directly related but it was surprising to see that he explained the incubation process which I used to troubleshoot. Maybe that helps. I cant wait to see more of your work this is a great start!
All my studies from my notebook in the past few days. I'm not satisfied with the amount of time i've spent on studying art.
