It's 3am in Germany now, it's time to submit my final piece. It's been a long way, I've got older by 10 years in this month. Sleeping deprivation is no good. But after all, t's such a great feeling to see the reborn of your idea - from sparking in your mind to actual realization. Not so many people are capable of materializing thoughts. It's just the VIP minority of talented people who has that super power and I'm proud to be the part of this community.
Anyways, let me introduce Phibi, Soul Keeper. She is an axolotl type and comes from Aztec myths. I developed the story and now she is the bridge between the world of life and death. Did you know that you may appear in the underwater world when you die? It's called Atlanta - the stunning drowned city that has all technology that is unknown for the humanity yet. And the ancient mystical creature or, to put it simple, just sweet amphibian Phibi will be glad to deliver your soul. However, the way to Atlanta is full of danger - everyone wills to own the souls because they give an ability to control the water element to their owner. That's why Phibi in perfection knows how to defend her carry. She has the secret knowledge of all the ways to Atlanta, and her witty mind helps to fool the enemies she meets. Her bracelets generate the energy of the water element and give her the power. There is no way not to like her, so, I'm happy to create such a lovely character:>
Regarding the creative process, the duration of it is 28 days. Traditionally, I started with pencil sketches and thumbanails just to gather all ideas, and later I moved to digital to develop the final look of her. In general, I've spend 10 days in making the final entry. Of course, the last few hours were the most intense but I'm proud that I still managed to deliver it on time, phew. Is it good? Is it bad? You decide:D
P.S. An interesting fact about axolotls - they can grow back lost limbs in only a few weeks: lungs, heart, spinal cord and parts of its brain, and can repeat this process 5 times. They are also endangered. Be nice to nature, it amazes:)
