Welcome to the forums!
Feel free to check out my topic (https://forums.cubebrush.co/t/mitsuki-art-school-journey) to see how i started out.
I would give Digital Artschool a 100/10! (yes that is a 100 out of 10 not a typo LOL) I love it so much and its helped me improve my art! I think i have gotten better at background art since i started though i still have a lot of studying to do but i have definitely gotten better at anatomy and foreshortening, while challenging is starting to get less so.
The way its structured also helps me in my personal project. I have been plotbuilding, worldbuilding, and characterbuilding a story that i will turn into a comic. it has 5 main characters, 100's of side characters, 24 story arcs, across 2 large and thoroughly built worlds (it def will be when im done considering how detailed it is already)
I'll also be making my 6 trailers for it that i'll be animating on my own (and making my own music) as well as an artbook to go along with the comic.
the point that made me decide to buy the art course was when i was trailer planning, i envisioned one of the scenes with a camera pan across a beautiful futuristic cityscape... except.... i can't draw buildings/backgrounds XD so as i watched marc's vids, i found them super helpful and after reading the reviews, got it when it was on sale. I'm currently between term 4 and 5.
One thing i'd note is you can move on to the next term when you feel ready but remember that even if you do move on, you can still go back to the earlier stuff if you feel the need to like occasionally i'll still revisit some term 2 stuff as well just for good practice.
BTW totally recommend checking out Snakker's forum cus it is so good! the way he studies with such patience is super inspiring and amazing.
